STEPS
STEP 1: Are you really ready?
My background began in physical education and athletics. I played high school
and intercollegiate basketball and coached at both levels. Along the way, I
earned a doctorate degree in education. As an athlete, I had to work very hard
to prepare for competition. As a coach, I asked my athletes to make similar
commitments. Setting goals is critical to success. Once I made the decision
to become an author, nothing was going to stop me. That meant setting up a new
schedule in order to find time to write, doing research, editing, finding an
agent, more editing, more research...you get the idea.
If you are not ready, don't waste your money and my time. You'll only get out of this what you put in. If you are committed, take STEP 2. If not, there are free writing tips available on this website.
STEP 2: Submit your work
I only want to see:
* The first 20 pages
* A synopsis (outline) of the story, including lead characters.
This will give me an idea of how much work is needed. Once I read your submission, I will send you fees and payment options. If you want to continue:
STEP 3: Submit your payment to PAYPAL.
Once you accept the payment terms, I will send you PAYPAL instructions. Once
I receive the payment receipt...
STEP 4: The coaching begins.
Based upon what you've written to date, I will request the rest of your manuscript,
or I will
e-mail you or call you to discuss the next steps. In some cases, we may first
need to work on your writing style. Or perhaps you need to go back and do research.
Remember, this is not just editing, it is PERSONALIZED COACHING.
