Meg Movie News:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Getting closer, but no deal. . . yet. Yes, the amazing director of Twister (Jan de Bont) will be directing the MEG movie, and yes the Hellboy Producers will produce MEG, but we have NOT finalized a studio deal as of this date. Hollywood tends to shut down for the holidays, so we won't be back pitching studios for a few more weeks.
I have faith something positive is going to happen in 2005, and when it does, you'll be the first to know. In the meantime, keep spreading the word about the MEG novels...it really helps.
More Alten predictions coming true:
For DOMAIN fans, a reader sent me a link to this frightening article about what may happen in 2012.
And almost 8 months to the day I selected TSUNAMI to be the name of the publishing entity that will publish The Loch (in May), well...we all know the tragic news from Indonesia. Even more bizarre, I happened to be working on the DOMAIN screenplay, writing about the tsunami that wiped out the dinosaurs in the opening scene (65 million years ago) when CNN reported the wave had hit. Maybe I should write children's books...
CREATURE DOUBLE FEATURE character contest!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
May 2005 launches my guaranteed best novel to date, THE LOCH, set to be released May 1st, 2005, along with the paperback of MEG; Primal Waters. It'll be a summer 2005 CREATURE DOUBLE FEATURE...and opens the door for a new contest for characters in my 2006 novel, oficially announced last month. Since then, I've received quite a few entries and from these have already selected about 14 (no announcement yet as to who) but I need more. Lots of them. Figure 50-60 readers will be selected to be actual characters in my 2006 novel. BE PART OF THE ACTION!
RULES TO ENTER:
Send me an e-mail at Meg82159@aol.com with your FULL NAME, PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION, and...
Tell me how you will help us promote the CREATURE DOUBLE FEATURE in May.
Examples: You will promote the novels on websites, bloggs, classmates, co-workers, you have ties to a newspaper, magazine, TV station, radio, etc.
I will select the TOP 50 entries AS THEY COME IN. Winners will also be listed in the April newsletter. You must follow-up with your commitments to see your name in the Summer 2006 novel.
