WRITING COACH is a new program offered to aspiring writers. The goal here is to help you develop your story and get it in as good a shape as possible to submit to literary agents for representation. The following are the answers to questions I receive most:
1. How much does the program cost?
It depends upon the amount of work that is necessary to complete your work so that it is in publishable- shape. Each person's work is different. That's why I ask to see the first 10-20 pages, plus the synopsis of the story. This tells me a few things. A) Can this person write? B) Is there a story here. At least one must be in place for me to take the writer on as a client.
2.What if I haven't completed the story yet?
Sometimes that works best. In almost every case, the story requires a major re-write. The less done, the easier it is to make changes.
3. Do you take on every one who submits?
Not at all. To date, I have received 23 inquiries and have taken on 3 clients. My goal is to get every client published, and I believe that is very possible. But I will only take on clients that I feel have a story to tell and that I can help.
